Geotechnician - 2024 Field Season

Job Description:

Core Assets Corporation is seeking a motivated individual to contribute to our 2024 exploration program at the Blue Property, located in the Atlin Mining District of northwest British Columbia. The field schedule is rotation-based and runs from May to September, weather permitting. Travel expenses, lodging, and meals are provided by the company. Successful candidates will report to the Project Geologist and Exploration Manager on-site. We offer competitive compensation, as well as a positive work environment where there is room to grow. All necessary training will be provided.

Primary Responsibilities and Learnings:

• Assisting in field mapping and sampling.
• Diamond drill core geotechnical analysis of oriented drill core including magnetic susceptibility, specific gravity, UV light photography, geotechnical measurements.
• Drill and surface data management.
• Sample preparation, QA/QC, and shipment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma.
• Previous industry experience is an asset.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
• Valid drivers license is a bonus.
• Flexibility, an eagerness to learn, a good work ethic, and a sense of humour are all assets in a remote environment!

Exploration Geologist – 2024 Field Season

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities and Learnings:

• Field mapping and sampling.
• Oriented drill core geological and geotechnical processing.
• UV light photography for carbonate analysis.
• Diamond drill rig alignment and planning assistance.
• Sample preparation, QA/QC and shipment.
• Baseline water quality sampling and shipment.
• Drill and surface data management and daily reporting.

Qualifications:

• Completed or enrolled in years 3 or 4 of a BSc. Geology/Earth Sciences Program.
• Previous Industry experience (including remote fly-camps) is an asset.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
• Knowledge of GIS mapping programs is an asset.
• Valid drivers license is a bonus.
• Flexibility, an eagerness to learn, a good work ethic, and a sense of humour are all assets in a remote environment!
